Florence is a CDP (census-designated place) in Montana. With less than 1,000 residents, it is a rural wonderland suited to photographers, poets, artists, conservationists, outdoor lovers, and a wide array of other people. The University of Montana (or UMM) is in the adjacent town of Missoula. And, this just isn’t any college. The university is 17th in the country in generating Rhodes Scholars… and, it is 5th among public colleges. It has educated many admired academics and is a well-respected establishment countrywide.
Also, in Missoula, there are a wide array of community events from a gallery walk the first Friday of every month to a Farmer’s Market that is open in the warmer, summer months. The annual River City Roots Festival is held each and every August, and consistently draws thousands of folks from far and wide looking for a good time.
