About Hamilton, MT - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Hamilton is a Montana town with about 5,000 residents.  It is the county seat of Ravalli County and is known for its quiet atmosphere and friendly residents.  The seasonal weather means that it can get warm in the spring and summer. But, of course, Montana gets plenty of snow and ice in the winter months.

Of course, Montana is a tourist destination for many outdoor enthusiasts, photographers and writers.  The state provides ample inspiration for the arts and plenty of opportunities for outdoor sports and recreation.  But, some people are fortunate enough to live in this amazing rural wonderland of plants, animals, amazing landscapes and much more. Snowcapped mountains and stunning lakes and rivers create postcard-perfect scenery that you won’t find anywhere else in the U.S.  But, you may be surprised to hear all about some of the fascinating local history, or that a renowned university is just miles outside of town.

This town, itself, has an interesting and slightly humorous history. Hamilton was founded by a copper tycoon by the name of Marcus Daly.  It was named for J.W. Hamilton, who helped to bring business to the town.  The story goes that Daly founded the town in the late 19th century, with money straight out of his own pocket.  He did so supposedly to “get back” at the local town of Grantsdale which apparently denied him the right to do business in town.  The Ravalli County Museum, located in town, focuses on County history, natural history and art. You should definitely check it out when the weather is cold.  It is the perfect way to pass a snowy afternoon or Saturday morning.
